Grass Mountain Pottery

Grass Mountain Pottery features mainly functional ware out of stoneware clay bodies with celadon glaze.  Celadon is the pale bluish-green color glaze produced by reacting with the iron in the clay during the firing process.  Carved or inlaid patterns would normally be found on the celadon ware.

In addition, other glazes are being explored and created to accompany the lonesome celadon.  And the patterns on each pottery ware also reflect the potter’s own styles.

All the pottery works are hand-thrown on a pottery wheel or hand-built in the potter’s studio.  The glazes, developed through a series of test firings, are mixed by the potter himself and contain non-toxic minerals.  All pottery ware are microwaveable, dishwasher-safe and lead-free.
